Summer Rising
Summer Rising is a free, collaborative program by NYC Public Schools and the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), offering students in grades K-8 a mix of academic and enrichment activities during the summer. Licensed teachers provide academic instruction in the mornings, while community-based organizations lead afternoon activities like art, sports, and field trips. The program is inclusive, supporting students with disabilities and multilingual learners through tailored resources to ensure accessibility and development. Meals are provided, creating a safe and nurturing environment for all participants.
