Messages to Families

Face-to-Face Letters

Face-to-Face Letters are used to verify that a student attends Queens Gateway. Documentation should be printed from the parent’s NYC Schools Account, www.schoolsaccount.nyc, under the Enrollment and Guardian tabs, and used for this purpose. Assistance is available from the Parent Coordinator to create the NYC Schools Account, if needed.

The NYC Health Department’s Education and Community Partnerships Unit offers free presentations and training on environmental health hazards in the home. The community workshops target parents, caregivers, residents, organizations providing services to NYC families, or anyone interested.

A Teaching Tolerance Publication

Beyond the Golden Rule - A Parent's Guide to Preventing and Responding to Prejudice, is a book that guides families through having a conversation with children about tolerance. It is divided into sections, The Preschool Years, Ages 2-5, The Elementary & Preteen Years, Ages 6-12, The Teen Years, Ages 13-17, and Reflection Upon Our Own Biases.
